In the 1994 movie Forest Gump, the title character, played by actor Tom Hanks, completes his cross-country run on the runway of Marshall Point Lighthouse in Port Clyde, Maine.
The lighthouse sits on the southernmost point of the St George peninsula in Mid-Coast Maine.
The lighthouse’s museum, open from July to mid-October features exhibits relating to the filming of the movie in 1993.
