The Navy’s Annual Bay Bridge Run and Walk follows a 4-mile (or 6.4 kilometer) route, starting at 8 am on Park Boulevard between the Hilton San Diego Bayfront and the San Diego Convention Center.
The USAT&F-sanctioned route follows Harbor Drive to Cesar E Chavez Parkway before turning east on National Avenue to join the Coronado Bridge, which is closed to traffic during the event. The race finishes in Coronado’s Tidelands Park, from where participants with race bibs can take a complimentary ferry or shuttle bus back to the downtown start line.
Attracting over 10,000 participants, this public event is hosted in May each year by the Navy Region Southwest Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Program to raise funds for quality-of-life programs for local military sailors, retirees, and their families.
