Are dogs allowed on Huntington Beach?

Last updated April 5, 2021 by ZagBot Comment

Generally, dogs are not permitted on the beach at Huntington Beach, with the exception of guide dogs, signal dogs or service dogs.

However, dogs are allowed on a designated area of beach along Pacific Coast Highway, between 22nd Street and Seapoint Avenue, known as Dog Beach. Dogs may be allowed off leash on the sand, provided they are well behaved and respond to recall on voice command. At all other times, including when entering and exiting the beach, dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.

Only guide dogs and service animals are allowed on Huntington Beach Pier.
