The Carolina Panthers NFL football team plays its home games at the Bank of America Stadium (formerly Ericsson Stadium) in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina.
The purpose-built stadium opened in 1996 and the Panthers’ first game there was on August 3rd, 1996, against the Chicago Bears during the preseason, ending in a 30-12 win for the Panthers.
The Panthers are one of only a few NFL teams that own their home stadium.
