Where did Buddy Holly's plane crash?

Last updated January 12, 2020 by ZagBot Comment

Buddy Holly’s airplane crashed in a field 5 miles north of Clear Lake, Iowa, in the early hours of February 3rd, 1959.

He was killed, along with the plane’s other occupants, musicians J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson and Ritchie Valens, and the pilot, Roger Peterson. The crash site is a half mile walk across private farmland on a path that starts at the roadside near an oversize model of Holly’s iconic glasses.
