The Australian Broadcasting Corporation studios are located in the Southbank Centre at the corner of Sturt Street and Southbank Boulevard in Melbourne’s Arts precinct.
First opened in 1994, ABC brought all of its Melbourne-based TV and radio operations under one roof at the Southbank in 2017, having previously also had studios in Elsternwick and Ripponlea.
The Southbank facility has multiple TV and radio studios, along with edit, production and newsgathering facilities. ABC broadcasts from Southbank include News Breakfast, The World, Insiders, The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell, and the 3LO ABC Radio Melbourne radio station.
