What is the capital of Virginia?

Last updated February 6, 2021 by ZagBot Comment

The capital city of Virginia is Richmond. It is the location of the Virginia State Capitol building, seat of the state government of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Richmond replaced Williamsburg as the capital of the Colony and Dominion of Virginia in 1780, and for most of the American Civil War between 1861 and 1865, Richmond was the capital of the Confederacy.
