Former professional American football player Vincent Jackson was found dead, aged 38, in his room at the Homewood Suites hotel in Brandon, Florida, on February 15th, 2021.
A few days earlier, he had been spoken to by police at the hotel, located 12 miles east of Tampa, after being reported missing by his family.
The wide receiver played college football at the University of Northern Colorado, and was drafted in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers and signed a 5-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012 before announcing his retirement in 2018.
