Rapper King Von was shot and killed, aged 26, in the early hours of Friday, November 6th, 2020, during an altercation outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in south downtown Atlanta, Georgia.
A native of Chicago’s Kingsway Gardens, King Von, whose real name was Dayvon Bennett, was based in Atlanta. He had been at the city’s Opium Nightclub with a group of men before the incident occurred outside the hookah bar on Trinity Avenue. He was later declared dead after being taken to hospital in a private car.
King Von released his first single Crazy Story on rapper Lil Durk’s Only the Family label in 2018, and had just released his album Welcome to O’Block shortly before his death.
