American rapper Huey died on June 25th, 2020, aged 32, after being shot outside a residence in Kinloch, Missouri, some 12 miles (or 19 kilometers) northwest of downtown St Louis.
He was taken to hospital but reportedly died shortly after arrival. An unidentified 21-year-old man was also injured in the shooting incident but survived.
Huey, whose real name was Lawrence Franks Jr, was best known for his hit single Pop, Lock & Drop It, released in 2006, which reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
