American rapper DMX died, aged 50, on April 9th, 2021, at White Plains Hospital in White Plains, New York, following a heart attack.
The rap artist and actor, whose real name was Earl Simmons and also went by the name Dark Man X, had been on life support at the hospital after suffering a heart attack at his White Plains home a week earlier due to a drug overdose.
Simmons spent much of his early life in Yonkers, New York, and during his career released 8 studio albums and 29 singles as lead artist.
