San Francisco artist Eduardo Aguilera built the circular labyrinth of rocks at Lands End covertly in 2004 and it has become an unofficial attraction off the Coastal Trail near Mile Rock Beach. In 2016 the city’s Department of Public Works determined that the geographic center of San Francisco was located on Corbett Avenue near the Rooftop Elementary School Twin Peaks campus. The Black Hawk jazz club was located on the corner of Turk Street and Hyde Street in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District and operated from 1949 to 1963.
